Born in Perth, Western Australia, Nic developed a keen passion for music at a young age through learning trumpet in primary school followed by singing and then guitar in his senior years. Inspired to try home recording and producing by the likes of Mac Demarco and Tame Impala, Nic began to hone this craft when he was 15.

After disbanding an indie rock band that he sang and wrote for, Nic spent 2018 and 2019 writing and recording his debut EP ‘What Happened To The Kid’ and album ‘Fractures’ with Dave Parkin at Blackbird Studio.  His time spent writing and in the studio honed a distinct sound, which for ‘Show Me What Hurts’ Beat Magazine described as having a “healthy dose of synth and guitar, with just a hint of R&B from the keys, making it the perfect track to have a subtle sob to on the d-floor to.”

With musical influences ranging from David Bowie to The Weeknd, and a combination of organic and digital sounds largely self-produced, Nic’s music stands out as “Hugely impressive, atmospheric and emotive”, says Aza Bojangles from Lowdown Under.  Focusing on lyrical depth and upbeat danceability, Nic’s live show is a high energy set with soaring synths, driving electronic drums and infectious vocal melodies bound to get stuck in your head.
